OWL LABS · BACKTEST
After the owl says A, the market answers.
What if you bought the US large-caps the Owl Score graded A at that moment and held to the next earnings? We reconstructed that backtest and compared it to the S&P 500 — every name, winners and losers, no cherry-picking.
Backtest · Q1 2026 grades, 2026-06-01 → 2026-07-28 (~one quarter) · 28 names bought in equal amounts · 22 of 28 beat the S&P 500 · alpha = how much more than the index · fees/taxes/dividends excluded
📈 Cumulative return vs S&P 500
Both start at 0% on the buy date. The gap between the two lines is the alpha.

Methodology & disclosures
The figures on this page come from a backtest — a simulation of what a past decision would have produced. Grades were re-computed using only data known on the entry date (2026-06-01), and the A-graded names were assumed held in equal amounts to the latest close. Return = entry close → latest close; alpha = that return minus the S&P 500 over the identical window. Dividends, fees, taxes and slippage are excluded. The portfolio composition is fixed (Q1 2026), and later quarters will be added as they complete. Grades are quantitative screening outputs, not a recommendation to buy or sell any security and not investment advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Owl Labs is an online information provider; investment decisions and their consequences rest with the investor.
