Stock markets open and close; crypto trades continuously, weekends and holidays included. That makes “previous close” an ambiguous idea, and percentage changes depend on the reference point you pick. The changes here are versus 24 hours ago.

Prices differ slightly between venues, because no single exchange sets the official price the way a stock exchange does.

No financial statements — so we do not grade it

Our quantitative score is built from financial ratios such as P/E, P/B and ROE. Crypto assets have no revenue, no earnings and no book equity, so the same score cannot be computed.

That is why there are no grades on this page — only prices and trends. If you are used to the A–F grades on our stock screens, their absence here is intentional.

The volatility is on another scale

Unlike Korean stocks with their ±30% daily band, crypto has no daily limit. Double-digit percentage moves within hours are not unusual.

In Korea, crypto assets are not classified as securities under the Capital Markets Act and are not covered by depositor protection. The safety net if an exchange fails or is breached differs from equities.

Tax follows a separate regime

How and when crypto income is taxed is set by legislation separate from equities, and the schedule has been revised several times. Check the National Tax Service for the rules currently in force.
